We have conducted blood donation camp at MSIT IIIT on 12th December 2012. This is a third consecutive year of blood donation drive.

Preparatory program 2012, complete

We have completed preparatory program 2012, following are the admitted students numbers:

1. IIIT Hyderabad - 107 admitted
2. JNTU Hyderaabad - 102 admitted
3. JNTU Kakinada - 32

Whats happening today

1. Second year students are given one week for placements preparedness. This week no course activity other than aptitude training and interviewing skills. 
2. Preparatory course students are in week 8, last week. IIIT students are working on Business plan, JNTU students are working on hardware and Linux.
3. Some more preparatory students will get admit cards at the end of 8th week. So far 32 out of 60 students got admit cards in JNTU Kakinada, 100 out of 160 students got admit cards in IIIT Hyderabad and 98 out of 190 got admit cards.

2. Preparatory course students are in week 7, currently working in hardware, installations and Linux modules. We started issuing admit cards. Final strength will be know in a week or two.

FAQs for preparatory 2012

Most commonly asked questions before preparatory program:

1. Will MSIT provide workstations or do I get my own laptop for preparatory course? Answer: we will provide desktops.
2. Will there be sliding during / after preparatory course (between learning centers)? Answer: No
3. What is the syllabus for preparatory program? Answer: Microsoft 2007 Word, Power Point, Excel, C, hardware assembling, installations, computational thinking and business plan. Introduction to internet search.
4. Is it Okay if my miss the orientation on 23rd ? Answer: No it is compulsory to attend the orientation.
5. In IIIT: Will I be provided hostels before 23rd June 2012 ? Should I join hostels on 23rd itself? Answer: Please visit learning centers only on the dates mentioned in admit letter, you can join hostels on 24th or 23th afternoon after orientation session.
6. Where to report on 23rd? Answer: Seminar hall 1 - in IIIT, School of IT - in JNTU, College of engineering computer science department in JNTU Kakinada.

1. JNTU MSIT First years are in 8th week of first year practicum period. This is the final week for them to finish up first year.

MSIT First year Project Expo 2012 on 8th June 2012 was successful. Delegates from 8 companies visited MSIT Division IIIT Hyderabad to evaluate first year project demos.

First year project Expo 2012 this Friday

First year project demos at IIIT this year are conducted as expo. External guests / corporate visitors will now evaluate first year project demos by visiting all project stalls.  Each project team will have project demos along with poster presentation.
