Preparatory program started today (25th June 2012) in 3 learning centers: IIIT Hyderabad, JNTU Kukatpally, and JNTU Kakinada.

FAQs for preparatory 2012

Most commonly asked questions before preparatory program:

1. Will MSIT provide workstations or do I get my own laptop for preparatory course? Answer: we will provide desktops.
2. Will there be sliding during / after preparatory course (between learning centers)? Answer: No
3. What is the syllabus for preparatory program? Answer: Microsoft 2007 Word, Power Point, Excel, C, hardware assembling, installations, computational thinking and business plan. Introduction to internet search.
4. Is it Okay if my miss the orientation on 23rd ? Answer: No it is compulsory to attend the orientation.
5. In IIIT: Will I be provided hostels before 23rd June 2012 ? Should I join hostels on 23rd itself? Answer: Please visit learning centers only on the dates mentioned in admit letter, you can join hostels on 24th or 23th afternoon after orientation session.
6. Where to report on 23rd? Answer: Seminar hall 1 - in IIIT, School of IT - in JNTU, College of engineering computer science department in JNTU Kakinada.

MSIT Phase II Counselling on 20th June 2012

We are operating wait-list to fill rest of the seats in JNTU Kakinada. Ranks between 600 and 700 are being called on 20th June 2012. If you are in these ranks we will get in touch with you through phone / email / you can download call letters from MSIT Web site.

Whats happening today

1. JNTU MSIT First years are in 8th week of first year practicum period. This is the final week for them to finish up first year.
2. IIIT First year students finished their projects, and left for Vacation.
3. All second years are finishing up their internship/project demos, and getting ready for course completion.

Project Expo event a grand success

MSIT First year Project Expo 2012 on 8th June 2012 was successful. Delegates from 8 companies visited MSIT Division IIIT Hyderabad to evaluate first year project demos.

First year project Expo 2012 this Friday

First year project demos at IIIT this year are conducted as expo. External guests / corporate visitors will now evaluate first year project demos by visiting all project stalls.  Each project team will have project demos along with poster presentation.

GAT entrance and walk-in are complete. Currently in the process of generating MSIT ranks.
